Teachers for the Arctic is a teacher preparation program at Il.isag.vik, for early childhood education, elementary education or secondary education. Students interested in a teaching career should enroll in the Associate of Arts degree (AA) program at Il.isag.vik College and, following successful completion of the degree, transfer to participating colleges such as the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the University of Alaska Anchorage or Alaska Pacific University, to obtain a baccalaureate degree in education. The Iñupiaq Studies program is designed to accommodate full and part-time students. Students may begin at any point and may take classes for which they meet the prerequisites.
