When a Federal Aid Student withdraws, Financial Aid must:
- Determine the withdrawal date. This is either the date the student officially withdrew from Iḷisaġvik College.
- Determine the amount of Title IV aid the student earned. The calculation includes the amounts that were or could have been disbursed and does not include FWS. If the student has completed more than 60% of the semester, they have earned 100% of their Title IV funding.
- Notify the Business Office of either the amount of unearned funds to return to the title IV programs or the amount of funds to pay the student a post‑withdrawal disbursement.
- It is the student’s responsibility to return a portion of the title IV which they received but did not earn.
