An application is not always necessary to take a class at Iḷisaġvik College, but it’s the best place to start to make sure you get all the advising, financial aid, tuition waivers, and other student services available.
The ONLINE APPLICATION may not be fully accessible for those who use screen readers or other adaptive technologies. If you use an adaptive technology, you may want to use the PRINTABLE APPLICATION or the FILLABLE PDF APPLICATION. To complete the application process, you will also need to request transcripts from your high school or previous college(s). Please contact those institutions and have the transcripts sent to the Iḷisaġvik College Registrar’s Office, PO Box 749, Barrow, AK 99723, or registration@ilisagvik.edu.
Paper applications can be emailed to registration@ilisagvik.edu; mailed to Office of the Registrar, Iḷisaġvik College, PO Box 749, Barrow, AK 99723; or delivered in person to the Registrar’s Office at our main campus at NARL (100 Stevenson St.) in Utqiaġvik (Barrow), Alaska.

Tuition Waivers
Tuition waivers are available to help defray the cost of tuition. Waivers are available to all North Slope Borough residents, Native Alaskans and American Indians who wish to pursue a program of study at Iḷisaġvik. Waivers are also available to NSB elders and NSBSD teachers and paraprofessionals, regardless of whether they are in a program. (Iḷisaġvik College employees and dependents not seeking a degree should use the Iḷisaġvik College Employee Tuition Waiver Form.)
TUITION WAIVERS MUST BE COMPLETED EVERY SEMESTER and are due each semester before the withdrawal deadline for the class.
