Public Notice: DHAT Program

PUBLIC NOTICE 

The Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) will conduct a site visit to consider the Alaska Dental Therapy Education Program for accreditation. Commission members will be in Anchorage March 3-5, 2020. 

The Alaska Dental Therapy Education Program has been sponsored in partnership with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium since Fall 2016, and graduates earn a Dental Health Aide Certificate and an AAS Degree in Dental Health Therapy. During the upcoming visit, the evaluation team will be review documents, interview students, faculty and staff as well as travel to instructional sites Bethel and Napakiak. The evaluation team will then submit a report to the CODA. 

In preparation for the March visit, Iḷisaġvik College invites the public to submit written comments regarding the College’s and program’s qualifications for accreditation. Comments must be in writing, signed, and received no later than February 28, 2020 at the address below.
